It attaches directly to the original equipment plastic insert using self tapping screws with no need to remove the existing plastic insert. Replacing your existing hinges can break & crack the surrounding paint, as the hinges were painted at the factory after installation. These covers retain the stock hinge but give it a new look without harming your expensive paint. Door and Hood Hinge Treatments are available in both Textured Black and polished Stainless designs. A direct bolt on - no drilling required, fits either side. Use 4 hinge treatment pairs for 4-door models, 2 pairs for 2-door models and 1 pair for hood.
