Great Product Review by Christopher

To answer the problem of getting your mirrors off the factory bracket just loosen the screw a few turns then lightly tap the srew head while holding the bracket. That's what I did. The threads are aluminum so don't unscrew it more than a few turns. Great product over all I like how they keep the mirrors close to the door but allow it too open without hitting the mirror. With doors on it does render the passenger mirror pretty much useless though. (Posted on 5/14/13) |

Can't get factory mirrors off to install on new bracket. Review by BDavis
|
I bought a pair of these mirror relocation brackets and liked the qualiity of the product. The problem that I am having is that upon several attempts, I still have not been able to remove my factory mirror from the factory brackets. The instructions state that you simply remove the screw from the bottom of the mirror and apply some force to remove the top portion of the mirror. I am not sure what they consider "some" force but I was just this side of getting my sledge hammer out and I still have not been able to get them off of the factory brackets. So, as far as the my experience with how the new brackets are working....I wouldn't know yet as I have put them back in the box for the third time. I checked on YouTube for info regarding their removal without much luck. I guess a trip to the dealership may be my next step. (Posted on 4/16/12) |
