Superior Ring and Pinion Gears


Wrangler TJ Unlimited 2003-2006

If your Wrangler TJ Unlimited’s tires are larger than stock, you have probably noticed a loss of performance. Regain it, and more, with the correct solutions from Superior Axle and Gear. The TJ Unlimited came standard with a Model 30 front axle and a Model 44 rear axle, with the “standard” ratio being 3.07:1. When changing from lower ratios, it is often necessary to change the case. If you are unsure of your current ratio, check with your dealership or give our knowledgeable sales staff a call. Have your VIN number handy.

The “Rubicon” model came with Model 44 axles front and rear with factory lockers and a 4.11:1 ratio. The “Rubicon” gear sets listed below are designed to work with the factory locker.

On a four wheel drive vehicle, front and rear ratio's MUST be matched!!!

Many replacement parts are required when installing new gears. Superior installation kits are a sure way to have all the highest quality parts you need. Professional installation is required for all changes.
