Jeep Wrangler TJ Universal Joints
1997-2006 Wrangler TJ & TJ Unlimited
The Universal Joints on your Jeep Wrangler TJ or TJ Unlimited will wear out over time, causing loose joints which can ultimately damage other vital parts such as your driveshaft, transfer case, transmission, differential or front axle. Replace those worn Jeep U-Joints with quality, factory replacement parts to ensure solid performance from your Jeep Wrangler TJ driveline. Using our exploded image below you can easily locate the precise Universal Joint needed for your particular application.
A Universal Joint is a coupling that connects two rotating shafts allowing freedom of movement in all directions. In Jeep vehicles a universal joint allows the driveshaft to move up and down as the vehicle passes over bumps. There are two types of Universal Joints. One has a C-Clip that sits in a groove inside the yoke to hold the bearing caps in place. The other has a Spicer Snap Ring that sits in a groove outside the yoke to hold the bearing caps in place.
