On a Bestop Supertop, you’ll see that for the Jeep CJ, the rear upper frame sections form a distinctive “Y” shape. Also, the front section of the fabric is attached to the windshield header channel which is clamped to the windshield frame.
I Have a Supertop by Bestop

For the Bestop Sunrider, you’ll find that Jeep CJ7 has a separate rear bow assembly that attaches to the roll bar near the rear upper seat belt locations. The front part of the soft top fabric attaches to the framework and quickly releases to fold back from the windshield frame.
