Each D.U.I. Distributor is tuned on a distributor machine based on the specs of the engine. A super smooth advance curve will eliminate engine damaging detonation and give instant throttle response. The unit is polished and lubed as it is assembled making it a true blueprinted distributor.

Live Wires

Performance Distributors LiveWires® come with a space age, heat resistant sleeving that provides superior protection to the plug wires from the extreme underhood temperatures generated by the exhaust. The sleeving is a non-flammable heat treated glass braid, much like the type used on todays ovens. The unique sleeving on the LiveWires provides heat protection up to +1400° F and offers excellent resistance to moisture and chemicals.

LiveWires are custom fit, so no assembly is required. Each wire is numbered on both ends for the correct cylinder making installation, removal and re-installation quick and easy. No cutting, splicing or crimping is required like other aftermarket wire sets. Some applications are available for both over the valve covers and under the headers.

Screamin' Demon Coils

The Screamin' Demon Coils are designed to produce an exceptional spark throughout the entire RPM range with virtually no drop in power. Stock coils are notorious for falling off as RPM goes up. Our Screamin' Demon Coil has been dyno tested providing 3 more horsepower at 5000 rpm over stock coils. The Screamin' Demon has a brass terminal for which your coil wire attaches to. The brass terminal is more conductive than the stock aluminum terminal and will resist corrosion longer. Spark Plug gaps can be widened to .065" due to the energy of this coil. The wider spark plug gap will allow more spark energy into the combustion chambers providing more power and improved mileage. The Screamin' Demon is too "hot" for stock plug wires. 8 mm spiral core wires are highly recommended. The Screamin' Demon is an externally mounted coil.

*NOTE: 1991-1992 and 1998-1999 Jeeps require the Wiring Harness Adapter (which can be found here on this page) for our Screamin' Demon Coil to work with the factory plug in harness.

Coil Wiring Harness Adapter

1991-1992 and 1998-1999 Jeeps require the Wiring Harness Adapter for our Screamin' Demon Coil to work with the factory plug in harness. This adapter harness is easy to install with no cutting or splicing to the factory wiring harness. Please note that this part is sold separately and is not included with the ignition kits.

Cap and Rotor

The Jeep Cap and Rotor kit features brass terminals which are more conductive and resist corrosion longer than caps with aluminum terminals. This cap and rotor kit has excellent dielectric strength and resists carbon tracking.
