A conversion shackle is included to upgrade your CJ to our Rubicon 2.5-inch wide leaf springs up front.
The 4.5" system will clear 33 x 12.5 tires. *Driveshaft modifications are recommended for any lift 3.5" or higher. *Shock absorbers not included.See Below. |

Spring-under:
A spring-under design retains the original stock design by keeping the leaf springs mounted under the axle. Our spring-under kits include the world-renowned Extreme-Duty™ springs, the very reason that these kits ride so smoothly and last so long. Also included is a built-in conversion to 2.5-inch wide springs all around, adding to overall strength and making the springs swappable with our YJ springs. Everything is completely bolt-on, which helps to keep installation a simple and smooth process, and gets you on the trail sooner.Spring-over:
A spring-over design removes the leaf springs from underneath the axle, and relocates them to the topside. Doing so generates approximately 5.5-inches of lift - and by using our SOA leaf springs, you can add an extra 1.5-inches of lift on top of that, totaling out at around 7-inches of suspension lift. This conversion requires substantial fabrication and modification: welding new spring pads and shock mounts, extending the brake lines, adding a drop pitman arm, installing a CV-style driveshaft, new u-bolts, shocks and steering modifications. There is truly no better way to extend wheel travel or make way for bigger tires and more clearance. Feel free to call us for any assistance needed in building a custom kit for your application.
