Seatbelts lock too easy

I replaced mine because they were old and they locked with the slightest pull; strapping into the old seatbelts could be a 5 minute ordeal.
When I began to install these, I noticed that the strap on both had to be turned so that they would strap correctly without having a twist in the belt; a minor pain, but a pain nonetheless.
Once I got both installed, I excitedly got in and reached over to strap in and cachunk! it locked while trying to pull down the belt! While they are not as sensitive as the ones I replaced, they are too sensitive in my opinion. Both sides behave the same way. I had a friend get in last week and the same thing happened to him...it took him several attempts to get buckled in.
I wouldn't buy these again for that simple reason.
Also, it is NOT a simple task to get the strap through the right and left plastic buckle sleeves. The instructions say to use a clothes hanger which is a joke; I'd like to see someone do that. I had to use a nylon cord and attach it to my truck bumper to get the strap through.
